2024 5,200 Mile RV Road Trip
Jerry headed out across America to visit 7 states, 4 National Parks and everything he could see along the way.This trip started May 13, 2024.
I'm glad you've decided to enjoy this massive road trip with me. I started from Sweet Home Alabama then went through Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada and then back home to Alabama. The National Parks I visited were Big Bend NP, White Sands NP, Saguaro NP, Joshua Tree NP.
I posted lots of videos on my Tik Tok account. I'll post pictures and video links here once I get them all sorted and the code written.
The camper I pulled was a 2024 Rockwood Geo Pro G15TB travel trailer. It is very short, only 15ft long, and fits in any campground, anywhere. I pulled it with a 2024 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 truck. The truck can tow 6,400 pounds and the camper weighs about 4,300 pounds when loaded with all my stuff.
Itenerary
My date of departure was May 13, 2024.
From May 13-15 I was at Choctaw Lake Campground in Mississippi. The next stop was Natchez State Park in Mississippi. I was here May 15-17. The next stop was Twin Dikes Park in Texas, I was here May 17-19. The next stop was Live Oak Ridge Campground neat Temple, Texas. I was here May 19-21. The next stop was San Angelo State Park in Texas. I was here May 21-25. The next stop was Fort Stockton RV Park, a private campground in Texas. I was here May 25-26. The next stop was Big Bend National Park. I was here May 26-29. The next stop was Davis Mountains State Park near Fort Davis, Texas. I was here May 29-31. The next stop was just outside of White Sands National Park. I was at the KOA May 31 - June 2. The next stop was the Lordsburg, New Mexico KOA. I was here June 2-3. The next stop was Wells Fargo RV Park in Tombstone, Arizona. I was here June 3-5. The next stop was Saguaro National Park for half a day. The next stop was Yuma, Arizona at Sands End RV Resort. I was here June 5-6. The next stop was Joshua Tree National Park. I stayed at the Palm Springs KOA June 6-7. The next stop was the North Las Vegas VA hospital. I spent 2 days here because I couldn't breathe. The next stop was North Las Vegas to visit my daughter and her family. Woot, I got to see 5 of my grandkids! Regrettably, due to my severe breathing issues, I headed back home to Alabama.
