Fields of the Wood

We love to visit places and see things that are out of the ordinary. One sure way to get us to visit your attraction is to put "World's Largest" in the name! We took a little detour from our journey to Cherokee, NC and made our way to little town of Murphy, North Carolina. This is home to the religious park called Fields of the Wood.

About 100 miles from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and other attractions, take the time to make a difference in your family's life. Let this be the year that you introduce your family to Jesus Christ. We took a lot of pictures during our visit in this area and you can view them all below. We hope you enjoy them and they will inspire you to visit the World's Largest Ten Commandments.

Fields of the Wood is located east of Murphy, North Carolina close to the Tennessee state line. It is home to the World's Largest Ten Commandments. This attraction is free and there is a very nice gift shop. You can also have a snack in the cafe or feed the fish off the deck of the patio area. You can see monuments to the Psalms of Praise, a re-creation of the Jesus' tomb and much more. This is a must see attraction!

Fields of the Wood

The Fields Of The Wood is a Bible Park, where God's Word is proudly displayed. The park is open year round from sunrise to sunset and is free to all who enter the arch. Whether you are a mom or dad, Nana or Papa Jerry... we live in a time when society has taken prayer out of our classrooms and is doing everything it can to take God out of our everyday life. What better gift could you give you, your children or grandchildren than to share God's Word and the truth of Jesus' birth, crucifixion, death, and resurrection?

While visiting the park, you can:

  • Climb Ten Commandments Mountain
  • Experience the All Nations Cross
  • Mountain Prayer Chapel
  • See or Get Baptized in the Baptismal Pool
  • See Golgotha
  • Go Inside Jesus' Tomb
  • Visit The Psalms Of Praise
  • Hike the Nature Trails
  • Climb to the Top & Pray Atop Prayer Mountain
  • Visit the Delicious Burger Mountain Cafe
  • Browse the Hidden Treasures Gift Shop
  • View Each Picnic Area
  • View The Duck Pond

We visited here in 06/2010.
